Edge Clips

With a high pull-off force and small, compact design, edge clips are a fantastic way to secure cables to edges without the need for drills or adhesives.

Our range of edge clips are designed to easily and securely bundle cables by attaching them to panels between 1-3mm thick. They feature integrated metal clamps, which are angled to allow the clip to be easily pushed on by hand, but secure the clip and bundle in place with high pull-off forces.

In automotive settings, space is often at a premium. It can also be a hostile environment for adhesives, with chemicals, aerosols and oils weakening the adhesive bond over time or even preventing it from bonding in the first place. High temperatures can also prevent adhesive fixings from being an acceptable solution. Edge clips can be used to reliably secure cables even in areas where drilling or welding are not possible due to space or structural limitations.

Variations

Edge clips come with a pre threaded cable tie, making it an incredibly time efficient way of bundling and securing cables. Our range of edge clips covers allows fixing and bundling options that cover a wide range of fixing requirements. Cables can be bundled over or alongside the component edge, with four different possible alignments:

• Over the edge, parallel to the direction of the edge

• Transverse over the edge, 90° to the direction of the edge

• Parallel alongside the edge

• Vertical and lateral, 90° to the direction of the edge

Materials

Our range of edge clips are made from heat stabilised polyamide 6.6 (PA66HS) and high impact modified, heat stabilised polyamide 6.6 (PA66HIRHS). These materials are exceptionally well suited to automotive applications:

• High yield strength (PA66HS)

• Modified elevated maximum temperature (PA66HS, PA66HIRHS)

• Limited brittleness sensitivity (PA66HIRHS)

• Higher flexibility at lower temperature (PA66HIRHS)
